Doctors found a "significant" link between asthma and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children.
Dr. Samuele Cortese, of the University of Southampton, who led the research. allergic mechanisms in ADHD "and could lead to changes in the clinical management of both conditions.
The study, by an international team of researchers, was published in the journal Lancet Psychiatry.

"Practitioners Mental health as well as clinicians involved in the management of respiratory illnesses should be aware of this badociation, which could help reduce the delay in the diagnosis of ADHD and asthma.
"Future research should aim to understand the mechanisms underlying this badociation, including possible common inflammatory alterations."
The study looked at two sources of data for research – the first one. one involving 49 sets of pre-existing data and the other coming from a population study in Sweden.
A university spokesman said, "According to the badysis of the 49 datasets, the prevalence of asthma was 16.9% in people with ADHD and 11.5% among those who did not suffer
