According to Sony, the XZ2 Premium can capture video at a sensitivity of 12,800 ISO and photograph at a distance of 51,200. It reaches these numbers with two sensors (a 12MP, 1 / 2.3-inch, 1.55um black and white and a 19MP, 1 / 2.3-inch, 1.22um color) working together and processed by the new business signaling chip fusion image, called Dawn. Dual rear cameras can also create 3D scans. The front camera has also been pushed back from 5MP to 13MP in the Premium, and although it still has the original XZ2 Snapdragon 845, the new model increases RAM from 4GB to 6GB.

The rest of its functionality replaces the standard version, but they are not too shabby: 4K HDR video recording, 1080p 1080p FPS slow motion video and 4K HDR display. The XZ2 Premium will debut in Chrome Black and Silver, and can be pre-ordered from Amazon or Best Buy from July 9, although early booking with the first will be in a pair of open-ear buds Xperia Ear Duo.
