<p> Tanuja was born to director Kumarsen Samarth and actress Shobhna Samarth in 1943. Her older sister was the actress Nutan. Tanuja married filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee in 1973 and they have two daughters, Kajol and Tanishaa, also an actress. </p>

The former actress Tanuja was hospitalized Tuesday night after she complained of abdominal pain, the IANS news agency reported. Tanuja's daughter, Kajol, whose stepfather and director of action Veeru Devgan pbaded away two days ago, was photographed at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where the actress, Elder aged 75, is currently under treatment, reported IANS.
