In what could be Volkswagen's cheapest SUV, the Volkswagen T-Cross bottom trim is actively tested before launch. The model was spied on tests on Brazilian roads by drawing attention to its on-board features that are significantly less compared to those of the high-end model.

While the high-efficiency T-Cross draws its power through a 1.6-liter petrol engine or 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission, the lower model is powered by a 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine with 128 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission.
Volkswagen has also confirmed that the T-Cross will be launched in India, but it is unclear which version will be introduced in the country. Its launch in the country at the end of 2020 should rival those of Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks and Hyundai Creta.
