OnePlus does not spell it explicitly but drops a caption on the tweet by mentioning the number C61422. At first glance, the number may seem very random, but it's actually hexadecimal color code for red, which obviously means that a red variant is about to start and soon.

The video also reveals the date of July 2nd. the end which means that OnePlus is officially expected to announce the new variant on the date mentioned. The OnePlus 6 is currently available in Midnight Black, Black Mirror and White Silk color options, which means that adding a Red color variant would make it the fourth color choice for the buyers

Versions of RAM and storage are yet to be mentioned, but expect to launch a standard RAM version of 6GB with 64GB of embedded storage.

Other specifications are similar to the OnePlus 6 standard because the smartphone has a 6.28-inch FHD + AMOLED display with a notch on the top. This is protected by 2.5 Corning Gorilla Glbad 5. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC 845 and runs on the latest version of OxygenOS, which is based on Android Oreo 8.1.

The smartphone comes with 16 MP + 20 MP dual camera configuration at the back and a 16 MP selfie camera on the front.

Other features of the device include a 3,300 mAh battery, face unlocking, fingerprint scanner, splash resistance, back glbad and NFC.
