The Gallery application that now displays the build version as v2.6.71 has a new pencil icon that will allow you to choose from three video editing options. By clicking on the scissors, you will be able to extract the cuts of a video, the icon with a musical note will allow you to apply background music.

OnePlus has developed new features for its older devices and continued to do so by sowing OxygenOS betas on OnePlus 5 / 5T and OnePlus 3 / 3T while continuing to individually update its apps to do more. The Chinese company has now launched an update of its Gallery application via Google Play, allowing its older smartphones to utilize the video editing features of OnePlus 6.

According to the XDA Developers all new features are concentrated in the app store gallery on OnePlus devices. The update allows users to add background music, apply filters, add a slow motion effect to a video and cut video recordings directly from the gallery .

The Gallery application that now displays the build version in v2.6.71 version features a new pencil-shaped icon that will allow you to choose from three video editing options. While clicking on the scissors will allow you to trigger the breaks of a video, the icon with a music note will allow you to apply background music. Finally, the option in the middle allows you to apply different filters inside the video.

The latest update is available for devices as old as the OnePlus 3 as the OnePlus 5T and it's interesting to see OnePlus keep the promise of supporting their older devices even when the OnePlus 3 approaching the end of the road for software updates. The update can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by anyone using OnePlus 3 or higher.
