The update to the HTC U12 + is poised to enhance Edge Sense, virtual buttons and add auto zoom for video recording

A few days ago, HTC announced that CryptoKitties are coming to HTC U12 + . These are virtual digital cats that you can collect, raise and exchange. While this is not going to help HTC U12 + users to enjoy their phone anymore, a new update pushed by HTC might well. A tweet from the company's public relations manager, Jeff Gordon, indicates that version 1.21.709.3 of the software is currently being broadcast on the U12 + unlocked in Taiwan.
In addition to the June Android security patch, the update includes an automatic zoom recording. The much-maligned virtual buttons and the Edge Sense compressible shortened feature will both get improvements. And those who installed the update reported notable improvements for both buttons and Edge Sense.

As we have pointed out, the update (which weighs 422 MB) is now deployed in Taiwan, but Gordon says HTC during the next few weeks it will be sent (possibly under a version number software) to U12 + units unlocked in the US and Europe. Although the update does not make the HTC U12 + big seller, anything that improves the virtual buttons has to be interesting.
