Volkswagen released the first conceptual sketch for the Volkswagen T-Cross in India before its official debut later this year. It is an important vehicle for the Indian market as it will be the first vehicle to display a badge Skoda in 2020 as part of the plans of India 2.0 for the German builders.

We already know what the car will look like in the multitude of spy photos we published on the T-Cross test in Europe under various conditions. The teaser image shows the rear of the car with remarkable design elements like a chrome bar running the full length of the trunk lid, a contrasting color plate element and silver roof rails.

On July 2, Volkswagen revealed that as part of its India 2.0 plans, it will invest 8000 crores in India to develop the MQB A0-IN platform and the first vehicle to emerge from this plan focused on the world's most advanced aircraft. India will be an SUV- that should be this vehicle but in a disguise of Skoda. The T-Cross itself should arrive once the Skoda vehicle is launched.

This vehicle will be a rival to the likes of Hyundai Creta Kia SP (in production), Renault Duster and Tata H5X in the SUV category of the segment D. It will be launched in 2020.
