UM Motorcycles India plans to launch two new variants of its Renegade bike range: according to Facebook Post from Bhopal dealer of UM Motorcycles, the new variants are Commando Black Cat and Renegade equipped carburetor Sport S.

UM Renegade Commando Black Cat is essentially a new color option.The new variant is offered in matte black finish while Renegade Commando is also offered in the existing Matt Moss Green, Black Shine (gloss black) ) and the colors of Burgundy Shine.

UM Motorcycles India is currently selling Renegade Commando at Rs 1.82 lakh (ex-Delhi showroom) and the new variant should also be offered at no price increase.

The second variant is the carbureted version of the Renegade Sport S. The whole range of Renegade motorcycles is currently powered by a 280cc cooled single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that develops 25 horsepower at 8500 rpm and 21.8 Nm at 7,000 rpm, combined with a six-speed transmission. However, the power figures of the sporty Commando Sport S version could be slightly lower than those of the fuel injection unit.

The move should reduce the price of the motorcycle to at least 15,000 rupees. The current Renegade Sport S is priced at 1.66 lakh, ex-Delhi showroom.

In addition to the two new variants, UM Motorcycles India will launch the 230cc, Renegade Duty S and Renegade Duty Ace bikes in the upcoming holiday season. Revealed at Auto Expo 2018 in February and priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom, the Renegade Duty twins are powered by an oil-cooled 223cc single-cylinder engine that develops 17hp of power at 8,000rpm and 17Nm of torque at 5000rpm, coupled to a five-speed transmission. UM claims the two motorcycles in the Duty range will return about 41kmpl of fuel according to ARAI certification

The Duty Ace is delivered in a cafe-style cafe-style hairdresser seat while the Duty S receives rider and pbadenger-sized seats. In addition, the Duty S comes with solid matte color options while the Duty Ace gets a more sporty two-tone option.

The Renegade Duty range features a single-instrumented instrument console. A UM LED logo under the round headlamp, four-sided LED lights, blind-spot mirrors, puncture-proof tires and a wider seat are other notable additions to the Renegade Duty twins.
