Vivo Y95 with Android 8.1 Oreo, 4GB of RAM spotted on Geekbench; Practical photos were leaked

Vivo is expected to launch a new Y-Series smartphone in India later this month at a price below 15,000 rupees. Successor of the Y93, the smartphone should be the Y95. Over the weekend, we became aware of a leak of promotional images indicating that the camera would come with a 20 megapixel self snapper. A Vivo V95 retail box also surfaced, courtesy of MySmartPrice. Now, the Vivo smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench and practical photos have also surfaced.

The photos disclosed, courtesy of AndroidPure show the front and back panels of the smartphone. On the front, you can see an edge-to-edge display with a water drop-style notch that houses the front camera. There is, however, a slightly thick chin at the bottom. The other photo shows the back of the smartphone, with two vertical cameras, an LED flash on the top left and a fingerprint scanner in the center. The back also has a shiny surface, but nothing indicates that it is glbad or not.

The smartphone was also spotted on Geekbench (model number 1807). reveals some of its key details. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS and is powered by an octa-core SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. In the single-core test, the smartphone recorded a score of 876 points, while in the multicore test, it recorded a score of 3,267.

Vivo Y95 specifications and expected features

The Vivo Y95 will feature a 6.22-inch display, based on the leak of the retail box, but it will not be the same. There is no word on whether or not there is an HD + or Full HD + panel. At the heart of the smartphone will be the Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

In terms of camera configuration, a 13 megapixel + 5 megapixel rear dual camera is likely to to be towed, while the front will have a 2 megapixel AI Snapper. A mbadive battery of 4,030 mAh is expected, but nothing says if it will support the fast charge.
