Volvo XC40 gets two new variants: Price and features explained

Swedish automaker Volvo has just expanded its Volvo XC40 range in India with the launch of two other variants. The new versions go by the names Momentum and Inscription and these were launched at respective prices of Rs 39.9 lakh and Rs 43.9 lakh. With the launch of the new Volvo XC40 Momentum and Registration, the R-Design trim that was launched in India earlier becomes more expensive with its new price of Rs 42.9 lakh compared to its launch price of Rs 39.9 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, India). Deliveries of the new Volvo XC40 Momentum and Ibsccription variants will start in India by the end of the month. Volvo XC40 has received 200 reservations so far in India, which shows that the company's compact luxury SUV is experiencing a decent start. The mid-range Volvo XC40 R-Design and high-end registration variants enjoy a wireless charging, a 12-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, wheels in 18-inch alloy and 9-inch touch-screen infotainment system. In addition to the features of the R-Design trim, the Volvo XC40's Variant variant undergoes subtle changes inside and out, diamond-cut six-spoke alloy wheels, a pommel of crystal gear lever and an electric headrest. On the other hand, the Momentum variant being the most affordable of the lot, it misses all the features mentioned above, with the exception of the infotainment system and 18-inch alloy wheels. Commenting sales of Volvo XC40 in India Charles Frump, managing director of Volvo Cars India, said that it's a good start for the company and that Volvo expects a considerable contribution to reach 10% market share.
