According to a blog by WABetaInfo a source that closely follows additions to the beta versions of WhatsApp, the group's administrators will soon be able to restrict the possibility send messages only to other admins in the same group and not all participants who are not admins. The feature is, however, for the moment being limited to only one option, the administrator still can not block an individual's individual rights to send messages. The blog post mentions that the current deployment rate of the feature is very slow, so users will have to wait a while before posting for everyone.
Users will need to update their version of WhatsApp to 2.18.201 for Android and version 2.18.70 for iOS users. Older versions of the application can also get this feature, but it is likely that newer versions will be better optimized. For those who can not wait a broader deployment can update to the said version of the application, and then reinstall the application after backing up all the conversations.
