Xiaomi F1 Pocophone to launch in India with other markets: Report

Xiaomi, for some time now, has been touted for launching a smartphone, as part of its new series called Pocophone. The device is supposed to be called Pocophone F1, which has recently been spotted getting a certification on the FCC website after being certified by the Taiwanese NCC certification body. While this clearly indicates the launch of the device soon, the availability of the smartphone has been largely unknown. But not anymore.

A new report from MySmartPrice claims that Xiaomi will launch the F1 Pocophone in India alongside other global markets. While a launch date has not been revealed, previous rumors have suggested that the smartphone would cost 420 euros, or about 33,600 rupees for the base variant. The high-end version should cost 460 euros, or about 36,800 rupees.

Pocophone F1 Specifications and Features

The Pocophone F1 is available to display a 5.99-inch IPS LCD, which will have a resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18: 9. Under the hood, it should be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC alongside 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is offered to be available in the storage options of 64GB and 128GB.

On the software side, it is supposed to run on Android 8.1 based on Oreo MIUI 9. The device should be powered by a 4000mAh battery, which is suggested to carry a fast charge A dual rear camera configuration is also planned, t its specifications have not yet been revealed. The same goes for the front camera. Connectivity options will likely include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth support, and LTE 40 band support.
