NEW DELHI: India has taken an important step in its Covid vaccination campaign by administering 90.4 crore doses until Saturday evening. More than 72 lakh doses were administered until 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, with Bihar taking the lead in pushing 26.4 lakh jabs in a single day. Maharashtra, which inoculated the second largest number of people, followed Bihar with a dose number of 7.5 lakh.
India’s average daily vaccinations increased dramatically in September to just over 79 lakh doses / day (up from 59.2 lakh / day in August), as more than one in four crore doses were given. separate days, including 2.5 crore on September 17th.
