Jakarta (ANTARA News) – President Joko Widodo visited the exhibition of the Asian Forum on Agriculture and Food (ASAFF) held at the Jakarta Convention Center ( CGC) in 2018 Saturday afternoon.

Not only agricultural products, in the ASAFF exhibition that has the theme "Turning Challenges into Opportunities: Agricultural Innovation and Food Security" are also exhibited various innovations in agriculture.
The president also reviewed modern farm equipment stands ranging from drones to controlled atmosphere storage (CAS) or storage machines that can store fresh food up to six months.
In connection with this innovation, the Minister of Agriculture, Amran Sulaiman, mentioned that innovation could be the key to success in agriculture, for example achieving food self-sufficiency
"Food self-sufficiency can occur, even food sovereignty will occur when our innovations are pushed and we grow. The key to success in agriculture should encourage seed innovation to post-harvest treatment, "said the Minister of Agriculture.
In agreement with the Minister of Agriculture, the chief of staff of the president who is also chairman of HKTI Moeldoko said that countries that have a level of progress in agriculture must have a very big innovation. According to him, Indonesian agriculture can be further developed with a cultivated technological approach.
"Our company almost always uses the traditional approach." The innovations we take here, we communicate with the contractors so that later all product development can be developed and used by farmers, "said Moeldoko.
