The four years of law number 33 year 2014 on guaranteed halal products (JPH law) have been promulgated. The problem is that the law on the JPH has not yet been felt by the citizens.

Even if next year, Indonesian products, whether they be food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic, must be halal certified. For the industrial world in general as well as for the halal industry, this JPH law has not had a significant impact.

In fact, this law should trigger the growth of the halal industry. What happened was that the Indonesian halal industry was still operating on the spot, far behind Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan.

Businessmen see the halal industry as an important business opportunity. Korea and Japan excel in halal cosmetic production, Australia and New Zealand are gaining halal meat supply and Thailand is dominating halal culinary products.

Until now, the draft government regulation (RPP) on halal product guarantees (JPH) has not yet been resolved and reviewed by all relevant ministries and forums. However, three ministers signed the regulations derived from the JPH Act.

The Minister of Public Relations, Data and Information of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag), Mastuki, revealed that the three ministers who had affixed their hand had indicated the Ministers of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Nila Moeloek and the l & # 39; Agriculture, Amran Sulaiman.

"In essence, the issue of PP JPH is still waiting for the initials according to the ministers," said Mastuki, Sunday (11/04).

Health Minister Nila Moeloek, according to Mastuki, allegedly objected to and questioned the impact of implementing the JPH budget on vaccine products. Mastuki said that the RPH JPH requires that products that are not clear about halalness be informed of the composition of the product.

"In the draft RPP, it is clearly stated that for products that are not clearly halal, they will be informed of the composition and marked with red hues," he said.

The appropriate ministry continues to work on refining the JPH RPP. Mastuki revealed that the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of the Interior (Kemendagri) had recently suggested a revision to the collaboration using the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH).

According to him, the case was settled and harmonized on Friday (11/2). "Now he is asked for the initials of the minister, after this has been submitted to the ministry in charge of coordinating the PMK (human development and culture) and the economy (Ministry of Economic Affairs)", a- he declared.

Mastuki ensured that the professional allowance for halal products was not disrupted, even though the JPH PP had not yet been spit. The professional indemnification process will continue. He said that BPJPH had prepared the infrastructure.

Akbar and the mini-entrepreneurs do not have to worry about halal product regulations. This rule was adopted because the government wants to rebadure the population.

"Rest badured, this PP is not meant to shut down the industry, but it will actually increase people's trust," Mastuki said.

The 8th President of the House of Representatives Committee, Sodik Mudjahid, hopes that the government can speed up the publication of the PP JPH. According to him, the PP must be issued immediately because the JPH law requires that all products sold in Indonesia in October 2019 be certified.

Sodik felt that the government was not focused on completing JPH's RPP. Supposedly, in his words, the budget for halal products was a priority. "It seems less considered a priority," said Sodik.

For this RPP to be ratified quickly, he said, the different parties should be encouraged. The voice of the legislator is not relative to encourage the government. He said that citizens as consumers must provide a more powerful sound.
