PARIS, Waspada.co.id – French police arrested five men and a woman supporting a right-wing movement suspected of planning an attack on President Emmanuel Macron.
A source told Reuters that the six people had been arrested separately during operations in the Isere, Moselle and Ille-et-Vilaine regions Tuesday (6/11 ).
This arrest was carried out under the orders of the French spy agency (DGSI), suspected of planning an attack on Macron.
In an interview on Sunday (4/11), Macron acknowledged that there was a growing threat from rightwing movements all over Europe.
France itself has taken a number of preventative measures, such as the interrogation of ten people suspected of being linked to the far-right movement in June.
A source told Reuters that the ten were involved in a network of terrorists who wanted to "fight the parties that pose a threat to Islam.
This review allowed the police to seize equipment used to make explosives, weapons and ammunition.
However, there is no known link between this week's arrests and the examination last June. (cnn / data2)
