TEMPO.CO Jakarta – Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Sandiaga Uno said that he will look for free tickets for the 2018 Asian Games up to 20% for students. According to him, the request has been proposed to the president of the commission of Asian Games (Inasgoc) Erick Thohir.

"This 20% is what I'm still trying to do if it can be a relief from Inasgoc," said Sandiaga at City Hall on Monday, July 2, 2018. [19659003] Tickets for the upcoming August Asian Games have been sold online. Ticket prices range from 50,000 to 5 million rupiahs. The price is considered too expensive. In fact, said Sandiaga, DKI has released the tax on Asian Games tickets. According to him, DKI has exonerated 100 percent tax. It is based on Local Regulation No. 6 of 2010 on the general provisions of regional taxes

The law allows tax exemptions or 100 percent deductions based on the principle of justice. Unfortunately, even though the ticket tax has been released, ticket prices remain high.

Sandiaga is worried that if the ticket price is high, it will be calm. Therefore, DKI plans to mobilize students so that they come to the site to make the Asian Games more alive. "If the ticket price is the decision of Inasgoc, but we are looking for a way to be affordable for the citizens of Jakarta," he said:

He hopes that DKI's proposal can be accepted. In addition, said Sandiaga, Inasgoc also requested the help of DKI to mobilize students in some places.

Transportation Department Chief Andri Yansyah said the committee had promised a free ticket for 25,000 students during the Asian Games. "They promise 25,000 during the Asian Games," he said. Only, there is no certainty of Inasgoc.

Inasgoci Secretary General, Eris Heriyanto, said that the free ticket program for students was discussed with the provincial government of DKI. However, Eris has not been able to confirm how the mechanism is.
