Weibo even posted a photo of himself wearing an oxygen mask and putting his thumbs in the air, convincing the netizens not to worry, when he said that the problem was solved as the plane approached Xiamen. The plane then went to Dalian successfully without any report of injury.
A professional pilot with more than 25 years of experience explains that any pressure drop in the cabin will cause the pilot to descend to 10,000 feet. "This is what is considered a safe and breathable atmosphere for pbadengers, and then the captain must make a decision."
