The Saudi Attorney General is scheduled to arrive in Turkey on Sunday (28/10) to meet with a team of investigators investigating the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, badbadinated at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October.

Turkey said Saudi prosecutor Saud Al-Mojeb was to discuss a number of recent findings of the investigation with Turkish investigators. Saudi Arabia made no official announcement about Al-Mojeb's visit, just days after CIA director Gina Haspel arrived in Turkey to examine the evidence before giving any explanations. to the American president.

Turkey is trying to extradite 18 suspects arrested in Saudi Arabia for the murder. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said in a statement on Saturday (27/10) that he was rejecting the extradition request, saying that the royal state would rule suspects once the investigation ended.

It was known that some of the suspects involved in the killing were close to Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, who described the killing as "cruel" and "painful". So far, this statement has not dispelled the suspicions that it was impossible for such a high-level operation to be conducted without his knowledge.

Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist exiled to the United States nearly a year before his death, has often criticized the Saudi Crown Prince through his article in the Washington Post column. (Em)
