The video of the show has thousands of followers in different accounts, from 12,000 to 66,000 followers. But no account is verified.

Iranian police said they wanted to close similar accounts on Instagram. Meanwhile, the court will consider blocking access to the site.

Iran itself has blocked access to some social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Telegram applications. However, millions of Iranians continue to use the site through proxies and VPNs.

Iran's courts and security forces are dominated by extremists who launch periodic crackdowns against non-Islamic behavior. The latest arrests occur amid a series of protests against the government's management of the economy.
