Israel imposed sanctions on the Gaza Strip.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JERUSALEM – Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Monday (9 July) banned Palestinian channels Al-Quds. As reported by Anadolu Monday (9/7), in a decision signed on July 3, Lieberman said the ban was based on Israel's anti-terrorism law.
Under the decree, the channel would not broadcast inside Israel. The decision did not provide any explanation as to the reason for the ban. But Israeli authorities have accused the chain of being a propaganda tool for the Palestinian Hamas resistance group.
Al-Quds makes no comment on the ban on Israel. Al-Quds broadcasts from Lebanon and has a correspondent living in Jerusalem.

Israel also imposed sanctions in the Gaza Strip on Monday in retaliation for Palestinian protests. Palestinians attacked Israeli soldiers using burned kites and threw helium balloons.
