Bisnis.com JAKARTA – Jumbo deposits with outstanding amounts exceeding Rp2 billion decreased both in terms of total accounts and in terms of total nominal deposits in May 2018.
Based on the Company Deposit insurance (LPS), the amount of savings accounts with outstanding balance exceeding Rp2 billion decreased by 0.4% (over a month / month), from 248,855 accounts in April 2018 to 247,846 in May 2018.
"For the nominal amount of deposits also decreased from 1, 02% (MoM) of April 2008 to Rp3,082,612 billion in May 2018, to 0,351,039 billion in May 2018," said the secretary of the LPS, Samsu Adi Nugroho, Monday (07/02/2018). Rp2 billion below has increased in terms of number of accounts and nominal. LPS noted, until the end of May 2018, the number of savings accounts in this category increased by 1.30% (MoM), from 253,873,209 accounts in April 2018 to 257,174,744 accounts.
Similarly, nominal economies also increased from 1.78% (MoM) from the end of April 2018 from Rp 2 322 374 billion to Rp 2 363 818 billion by the end of May 2018.
In total, the total number of savings accounts reached 257,422,590 in May, an increase of 3,300,526 1.30% (MoM) compared to April 2018 of 254,122,064 accounts.
Total nominal deposits in commercial banks also increased by 0.18% (billion), from Rs 5,404,986 billion in April 2018 to Rs 5,414,857 billion. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the nominal amount of deposits per month increased by 6.07%
