Klikbabel.com, Jakarta – Heart disease does not only attack older people. The threat of heart attack against youth is increasing. In fact, people under 30 can also be affected by this health problem. Dr. Mohd Kamal, a cardiologist at Sunway Medical Center (Sunmed), said he had treated a 27-year-old patient with a heart attack.

Mohd Kamal said the risk of heart disease for the Malaysian population was 58 years old. As for the United States, he continued, the threat of heart attack occurs at the age of 66. Many factors trigger a heart attack, including lifestyle and dietary factors. Kamal evaluated smoking habits and became one of the main triggers for heart attacks.

Therefore, he advised people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. One of the most important things to anticipate heart disease is the early checkup. He also suggested that the minimum health check begins at the age of 30 to minimize the risk of heart disease.
