Elsewhere, the second generation CX-3 uses the SkyActiv-X Mazda engine, with advanced ignition that not only improves performance, but also reduces fuel consumption by 30%. This engine will first appear in the new Mazda3 and is expected to produce approximately 187 horsepower and 169 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual and an automatic torque converter.

Go Auto indicates that the cargo space will increase significantly by 264 liters compared to that offered by the current model. In addition, Mazda will change the seating design and refine the interior to improve ergonomics and acoustics. The new Mazda CX-3 is expected to be launched in early 2020.
