Ministry of Transport says Boeing B-737 MAX 8 is worth the trip

Jakarta (ANTARA News) – The Ministry of Transport reports that the Boeing B-737 MAX 8 types in Indonesia meet the criteria for flight eligibility.

"In addition to the fall of Lion, there are 11 other devices of the MAX 8 series, and we have specially controlled the results," said Saturday the acting director general of transport of the Ministry of Transport, Pramintohadi, to Ministry of Transport of Jakarta.

Up to 11 other Boeing B-737 MAX 8s are currently in operation or still used for air transport.

Of the 11 Boeing B-737 MAX 8s, one of them belongs to Garuda Indonesia and 10 to Lion Air Group.

However, the Ministry of Agriculture has not explained in more detail the proposed feasibility standard and no information will stop the operation of the aircraft type.

"The Ministry of Agriculture conducts a special audit for Lion.It was an investigation yesterday on the Boeing 737 MAX, which had 11 units, it is now a special audit, "said the Minister of Transport, Budi Sumadi.

He explained that the special audit included the intensification of a series of 737 aircraft, from the standard operating procedures (SOP), from the aircraft itself to drivers.

"We will have a special audit of the SOPs, then the planes, we will do all the 737 pilots and we will ask for it," he said.

He added that his party would also check the manufacturing sector, in which case there would be talks with Boeing.

"We may also be doing an audit of its manufacturing, we are only specifying the type of avionics function," he said.

Special audits of Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft will be completed within one to two weeks.
