Rare, unexpected weight loss, there was 23 kg of tumor in Ovary

Jakarta – A woman in Alabama is struggling to lose weight. As hard as one of his efforts, the numbers on the scales are even more out of control.

Women named Kayla Rahn would also have abdominal pain and difficulty performing their daily activities. Even walking, it is difficult.

"I can not even walk up to my car without panting," Rahn told the WSFA newspaper, quoted by Livescience.

Upon a checkup with a doctor, Rahn just received tips for losing weight. The suggestion was made, but the results were not as expected. His weight continues to increase

until finally Rahn must be transported to the emergency room. There, the doctor successfully identified the real problem, a 23 kg tumor in one of his ovaries.

The type of tumor found is a mucinous cystadenoma, which develops in the tissue that forms the outer layer of the ovary. This type of tumor is found in 15% of ovarian tumors and can weigh 136 kg.

Dr. Gregory Jones of Montgomery's Jackson Hospital, who treats Rahn, calls it's not the first mucinous cystadenoma he's found. "He was one of the biggest I have ever seen or picked up," he said.

Rahn finally underwent tumor suppression surgery last month, and is now recovering. Not only have the ladders returned to normal, but he can now also wear clothes whose size no longer matched.
