This increase in obesity in the Indonesian population has also been followed by an increase in unhealthy lifestyles practiced by Indonesians. Since 2013, the prevalence of smoking among adolescents aged 10 to 18 continues to increase from 7.2% (Riskesdas 2013) to 8.8% (2016 National Survey of Health Indicators) and again increases to 9.1% (Riskesdas 2018).
The proportion of alcohol consumption in the population also increased from 3% to 3.3%; and apart from that, 0.8% consume excess alcohol. The proportion of physical activity without physical activity in the population also increased from 26.1% to 33.5%; and the proportion of fruit and vegetable consumption among people over five is still insufficient, still at 95.5%.
