TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Young Generation Sangiang Village in Wera sub-district, Bima, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) with Bima Tourism Office and the local government will organize a big festival called "Sangiang Api Festival". The festival is held from July 28 to August 2018.
The Sangiang festival is one of the most anticipated. Because, the series is claimed festive and interesting to bring tourists. This festival will take place with six series of events. The following information is taken from the press release of the Ministry of Tourism
1. Traditional Confinement of Ding Screen
This sampan race takes the starting point of the island of Sangiang and then ends in the village of Sangiang. This race covers a distance of about 12 kilometers across the fierce sea of Flores. In 2017, the race is followed by 35 boats. In 2018, the participants of the sailing race increased by 60. The participants came from various parts of Bima district
2. Popular handicraft exhibition
This event is a bazaar to be followed by artisans from the domestic industry. The exhibition will present a wide range of industrial products.

Nggalo Ruhu or mbad hunting is one of the ancestral traditions of the inhabitants of Sangiang to Bima, which has been preserved for generations.
