The dark Eiffel Tower must respect the victims of the shooting of a synagogue

KOMPAS.com – Paris icon, France, the Eiffel Tower became black at midnight Sunday (10/28/2018) to pay tribute to all the victims of a large-scale shootings in a synagogue in the United States.

In a Twitter tweet, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, expressed her support for the Jewish community that was deeply affected by the anti-Semitism attack.

"I convey support to the Jewish community and the entire population of Pittsburgh," he said.

The lights that illuminate the Eiffel Tower often turn off to express the expression of sorrow after the terror in the world.

For example, after the mbad shooting in Las Vegas last year, the Eiffel Tower did not turn on the lights to honor the victims.

With regard to the terrorist attacks in the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the attacker named Robert Bowers (46) was arrested by the police.

The 20-minute terror in the synagogue killed 11 people, including 8 men and three women. The number of deaths varies between 54 and 97 years.
