We recently discovered that Sonos had recorded a new device with the FCC, and we even managed to get a first glimpse of what could be the company's first Bluetooth-enabled speakerphone via a single filtered image. At the time, however, all we knew was its model number (S17) and the fact that it would boast of a feature called Auto Trueplay.
A new leak over the weekend however revealed much more information about the new speaker, including his name. The German publication WinFuture – specializing in Microsoft leaks – got several images of what would be called the so-called Sonos Move. The images include marketing images as well as close-ups of the product itself, giving us a first glimpse of the next speaker, as well as its billing charging base.

You have to move it, move it
The charging base seems to be an optional method to keep the speaker in place, as it seems that the device can be loaded via USB-C without being at home. When you are on the charging base, you can configure the speaker for a Wi-Fi connection. The rocker switch located on the back of the device activates the Bluetooth for that purpose. 39 it can be transported via the recessed handle.

Like Apple's HomePod, the new Sonos speaker would have Auto Trueplay features, which would allow the device to use its built-in microphones to automatically adjust the volume to suit the mood. This could be possible thanks to the six microphones arranged in a circle on the top plate of the speaker.

According to a report from The Verge, the Sonos Move – if that's what the audio brand calls its next speaker – will come with support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, as well as the AirPlay 2 driver Apple.
However, the report suggests that, in Bluetooth mode, voice commands will not be available and that the Sonos app can not be used to control the device. Once connected to Wi-Fi, the speaker appears on the Sonos app with the inclusion of a battery indicator.
The Sonos Move is not known anything else, but the company has planned an event for the press on August 26th and 27th. We will not wait too long before the official word is announced.
