IOS 12.3 code suggests support for more forms of public transit

This is not certain to know when iOS 12.3 will arrive, although there have already been four beta versions so far. A finished version can be in a few weeks, if not earlier.

Reported leaks claim that iOS 13 will support a wider variety of public transit cards, including different card catches requiring a charging value. It may not be a matter of time before your iPhone supports a local support service, regardless of format.
