IOTA associates with a luxury fashion brand to use DLT in the supply chain

IOTA, the German blockchain foundation, is launching a DLT solution to enable a more sustainable, ethical-sourced fashion industry alongside global manufacturing company Avery Dennison, which they shared with The Block. The platform will be tested by the ALYX luxury label in order to give its customers a complete view of the supply chain. Customers will be able to track the path of the purchased item, from the point-of-sale creation, with an app that reads QR codes from items. IOTA's DLT will record the origins, production date and raw materials of the garment, allowing users to authenticate the product and verify its sustainability credentials.

"Brands and consumers may know that the information presented to them on the garment creation process is 100% accurate and can be implicitly trusted.
