The excellent performance of the Lakers lies in the middle of discussions about James' exchange. However, as ESPN's Stephen A. Smith pointed out on Monday as part of "Get Up!", The Lakers are not planning to trade James.
Similarly, James does not intend to require an exchange. After all, choice # 4 could help soften an agreement between the Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans (who won the Zion Williamson contest on Wednesday) for star Anthony Davis.
