Some early iPhone 12 mini buyers have a tough experience with their tiny new handset. Users on MacRumors, Apple’s forum and Reddit report that the 12 mini’s touchscreen is partially unresponsive to the lock screen. They will not only struggle to throw the camera or flashlight, but even slide up to unlock with their thumbs. The other fingers work, but that’s not very useful for a phone designed to be used with one hand.
A few users suspect that the problem may be with conduction or grounding. Sometimes the issue seems to be resolved when the phone is plugged in or used without a case.
