A Volvo dealership in Bengaluru named Martial Motors received the highest reservations in India for the all-new Volvo XC40 compact SUV. This dealer has delivered 12 units of the XC40 today, July 12 in the presence of Charles Frump, General Manager of Volvo Car India. As for the overwhelming response for the Volvo XC40, Charles said that the XC40 is ideal for the cityscape like Bengaluru and the SUV has a host of features that are very relevant to the city. He looked with certainty that the XC40's demand in Karnataka will increase all the more as these SUVs are seen on the roads.

Look at our video review of Volvo XC40 here:

Charles said he would like to thank customers in Bengaluru and the city is an important market for Volvo and success is a sign that the company has made a good choice for installing the Volvo Cars badembly unit. Volvo XC40 was launched in India at a competitive price of Rs 39.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Of the three versions that are sold in the world, India only gets a version in R-Design. This variant is equipped with multiple radar functions such as blind spot alert, adaptive cruise control, adaptive cruise control, and more.

In addition, the SUV is equipped with ABS, traction control, descent control and parking. This makes the Volvo XC40 the only car in the segment to have radar-based safety features, making it the safest in front of rivals such as Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. Volvo Cars recorded a 33% increase in sales between January and June 2018 compared to last year. The sales performance of 1242 units is led by the XC60 which contributed 25% of the total volume.
