Ulster announced that Ireland is transmitting the Coach Simon Easterby will offer support to coaches until the arrival of head coach Dan McFarland.
Ulster has agreed to an agreement with McFarland, the current badistant coach of Scotland, to replace Jono Gibbes as head coach for the next three years.
However, the SRU insists that McFarland receive nine months' notice. That would only see him out in January, just after the end of the group stage of the Heineken Champions Cup.
Ulster and IRFU still hope that they will come to an understanding that would see their new coach released early, but in the Easterby event looks like the man who will go into the breach until the next day. Until McFarland arrives.
A statement from Ulster today reads as follows: "Ireland coach Simon Easterby will provide support for coaching at Ulster in the interim period before The arrival of new head coach, Dan McFarland.
"Simon will start working with the Ulster coaching team this week."
