First look at Comic-Con's Iron First Season 2

Danny Rand may have come to help his boyfriend Luke Cage season 2, but he still has a lot of work to do alone. We had our first look at the new season of Marvel and Netflix Iron Fist at Comic-Con today and it seems … surprisingly good.

The last time we saw Danny Rand, he was just starting to get a taste of what it meant for him to be part of a team of superheroes. The first teaser of the second season of Iron Fist is about how this experience changed Danny. See:

Marvel also created a lot of new sequences of Iron Fist in San Diego Comic -Con panel (which Marvel has boringly not published). Con-goers were treated to a number of scenes featuring what new fighting choreography Clayton Barber-who did Black Panther -reamt for Danny, Colleen and Misty Knight. One can not exaggerate how radical an improvement is. One scene in particular finds Danny and Davos in K-one-Mon (in a flashback) during one of their last tests to decide which of them is worthy of confronting Shou-Lao . After donning Iron Fist masks of comics, the two students are tied together with a long belt and made to beat the eternal hell until one of them dies. they give in. As brutal and bloody as the face-to-face, it is as fluid and elegant in a way that looks fresh, new, and exactly like what you want from Iron Fist.

Beyond the fighting, however, Danny became much more of a hero than he was at the beginning, thanks to his encounter with Daredevil during the series The Defenders . Marvel's Jeph Loeb explained that fighting alongside Matt Murdock in The Defenders is ultimately what inspires Danny to use his Iron Fist abilities to become a street-level vigilante. Although the heck of hell 's kitchen can not make an appearance in the second season, his influence on Danny will play a huge role in the plot of the show.
