LIMERICK captain, Kyran O Donnell, makes his first start of the championship when Kilkenny provides the opposition to the quarter-finals of Ireland's MHC on Saturday.
Limerick travels to Semple Stadium in Thurles for the Kilkenny Winners Match. In their seventh league game, a Limerick win would mark a semifinal of CMH All Ireland July 28-29 with Dublin at Croke Park.
Limerick proposes to end a series of successive defeats – Tipperary in the final of Munster and two weeks ago, Galway in the quarter-finals.
Limerick and Kilkenny lost to Galway. Saturday (15h) in Thurles, they will join the Tribesmen, Dublin and Tipperary during the last four meetings. Kilkenny would advance if both teams finished at Semple Stadium.
Limerick made two changes since the loss to Galway – Captain O Donnell after an injury that hampered his campaign. He was introduced as a submarine against Waterford but was later forced to hurt again.
