A 30-year-old man was arrested by Gardaí for investigating the serious badault of a 93-year-old man in Blackrock, Louth County yesterday.
The man was arrested in the Dundalk area late last night and is currently being held at the Dundalk Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The wounded man, allegedly stabbed in the stomach at his home in the Sandy Lane neighborhood of Blackrock, remains at the Notre-Dame de Lourdes hospital, where his condition is apparently stable.
Gardaí continues to call witnesses to contact them in the incident room at Dundalk Station.
