BALLYBODEN St. Enda's qualified for the semifinals of Leinster Football Club tonight at Parnell Park with a quarter-final overtime win over Clonkill in a desperate tragedy match.

The players of both teams waited for a minute of silence before replying to Annabel Loughlin (3 years old), who died tragically last weekend.

Annabel was the daughter of Enda Loughlin, the pillar of the Leinster Club, Clonkill Veteran and former Westmeath Screamer. The quarterfinal of the Leinster club has been postponed from Sunday to Tuesday night, after the announcement of the news.

To their eternal credit, Clonkill staged a brave performance to push favorites to overtime.

The previous night, Kevin O 'Brien, coach of the Westmeath Champions, had said his team would "guarantee Enda and her family that we would respect their wishes and separate" and declared their intention "to to do everything possible to organize a performance, everyone can be proud. "

After 12 minutes they were 0-6 to 0-2.

Their captain, Brendan Murtagh, led with virulence while Eoin Price was a constant threat.

It almost inevitably took Conal Keaney to install Ballyboden.

After six minutes, he undermined the first score of his team. A minute later, Keaney scored for a second.

Boden's first goal in the 31st minute – the first time he led in the match – was due to Aidan Mellett's calm takeover following a Clonkill mistake, his direct race to goal and his side pbad Smart for Conor McCormack.

McCormack erased his lines, but Niall Ryan, who also scored a brilliant point early in the half, was ready to finish easily to give Joe Fortune's team a 1-9 up to 0-10 lead. .

Paulen released Boden from two points in the second half, but Niall Dowdall (Clonkill) pioneered on the left flank to equalize a pbad that Luke Loughlin – Enda's cousin – met for the first time time.

Niall McMorrow scored what seemed to be the winner before Murtagh sent us to overtime with a free time in the 64th minute.

There, the precision of Ryan 's placed ball and Paul Doherty' s goal finally broke Clonkill during an emotion – laden night.
