Demi Moore's credit card purportedly stolen and used for a shopping spree of $ 169,000

Demi Moore was apparently shocked by examining her recent credit card statement.

Criminal court documents obtained by ET claim Tuesday that a man named David Matthew Read stole the Empire aged 55 According to documents, the badistant Moore's staff called the credit card company to report that the card was used for fraudulent transactions. During the conversation, they discovered that someone had reported the loss of the card and requested a replacement card. "The D.M's personal badistant stated that neither she nor D.M. made this report or request," reads the document.

According to the complaint, a surveillance video would have shown that Read was shopping in Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue stores in and around Los Angeles on the same dates and times that Moore's map was used in those stores.

He was arrested later on April 5 outside a storage unit that he had rented in Hollywood. "In a subsequent interview with Miranda on April 5, 2018, Read admitted to having obtained DM's credit card without authorization and having it fraudulently used to make purchases in the stores", according to the complaint.He is currently in jail.

Moore wouldn't be the first celebrity to have been stolen this year. After receiving the Oscar for best actress last February, Frances McDormand's Oscar was taken away at the ball of the Governor.
