The EFTA LARNACA traveled to Ireland without several key players – including captain David Catala – for Thursday's Europa League match with Dundalk at Oriel. Park
Playing his first competitive match since May 16, Larnaca named his team of 17 players for the first leg of the second round of the Europa League.

. The AEK Larnaca team for the first leg against Dundalk includes three senior internationals – Daniel Mojsov, Ivan Trickovski (Macedonia) and Apostolos Giannou (Australia) – and six players who competed in La Liga.
This group is made up of goalkeeper Toño Ramirez, who participated in Real Sociedad the first season; defender Mikel Gonzalez, who has played nearly 200 La Liga matches for the same club; Jorge Larena, formerly of Atletico Madrid; Nacho Cases (formerly Sporting Gijon), Joan Tomas (once from Villarreal and Celta Vigo) and Acoran Reyes (formerly Tenerife), who scored the goal of the final of the Cyprus Cup

Thursday's match will be AEK Larnaca's first competitive outing under the guidance of former Spanish international defender Andoni Iraola. He succeeded his compatriot Imanol Idiakez, who started for Real Zaragoza in June after leading Larnaca to fourth in the league and his first win in 14 years.
After his victory over Cork City last year, Larnaca eliminated Dinamo Minsk Viktoria Plzen, of the Czech Republic, who won 3-1 over all of Belarus before being denied the place in the group stage of the Europa League.
The most famous European result of the 24-year-old club took place in 2016 Spartak Moscow in the third qualifying round of the Europa League. They reached the group stages during the 2011-12 season by taking the best on Rosenborg
The AEK Larnaca's return match against Dundalk will take place in Cyprus on Thursday 2 August. The prize for the winners will be a meeting with the losers of the second qualifying round of the Champions League between Ajax and Sturm Graz.
