Manchester United were outclbaded when Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus defeated Jose Mourinho's men in a disturbing Champions League clash at times.

It was 15 and a half years since the most decorated teams from England and Italy met for the last time, but everyone attending Tuesday's game at Old Trafford will have no illusions about their health.

Juventus sometimes played with United while Ronaldo found his way victorious on his old ground. His center allowed Paulo Dybala to score a goal on a night that could sometimes be much worse than the final score of 1-0.

Mourinho's team improved in the second half and former Bianconeri midfielder Paul Pogba scored a goal, but the Italian giants held five points ahead of United, second in group H, while the frustrated evening ended in disappointment.

Just as when visiting Valencia earlier this month, United was late after being caught in traffic, despite different preparations.

Mourinho decided to go to the stadium on foot. The coach of the team finally arrived just 50 minutes before the kickoff, although few players really came back to the game early in the game.

Juventus played with their pbadive hosts early in the first period. United went on to pursue the shadow in a demonstration of domination that deserved a bigger reward than Dybala's simple goal in the 17th minute.

The center of Ronaldo was decisive for the opening of the match. The former United striker reportedly scored at Old Trafford, as he had done with Real Madrid in 2013, though he had not had an exceptional stop at a David hand. De Gea at the start of the second half.

The 33-year-old, who again denied a rape allegation on the eve of the match, fainted when United insisted on an equalizer. Pogba's goal in the 75th minute was a free kick near the home side.
