These problems are unintentional.
UPDATE ONE: EA servers have been down for an hour as gamers are still unable to gain access to the online suites for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It is currently unknown why EA's servers are experiencing an outage.
Reports started emerging just before 1pm.
At the time of writing EA has not provided an update.
ORIGINAL STORY: They have experienced "connectivity issues" and insisted on it.
The game publisher said: "We're aware of connectivity issues affecting players at the moment and are working to resolve them."
Moreover, EA's global community manager, Corey Andress, has published the statement and is currently "investigating".
He said: "The team is aware of current issues of servers being down for some players and are currently investigating.
"Will update ASAP.
"Additive note: the connectivity issues are across the world right now, so this is impacting other EA games and services.
"Again, we're on it and I'll update when I hear more."
A number of players have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment at the server.
One said: "EA servers are down for PS4 or is it only me ???"
Another wrote: "Day off, want to play on FIFA 19 and FUT and the EA servers are down.
"Come on guys out it out !!!"
A third declared: "The EA servers are down for everyone, there's nothing you can do except wait."
The outage appears to be plaguing hugely-popular titles such as FIFA 19 and the Battlefield first-person shooter series.
One FIFA fan posted an image of an error screen presented on their PlayStation 4 system that insisted they had "lost connection" to EA's servers.
The message read: "You lost your connection to the EA servers.
"Sign back in to online access features".
And another account declared the FIFA 19 companion application was not working properly.
They posted an error message to the console and to the PC to gain access.
Independent outage monitor, Down Detector, registered over 1,000 reports of EA's servers being plagued with issues at one time.
Moreover, an area showing the areas affected appeared in the UK, France and the Netherlands being hit the worst by problems.
