Eddie Hearn has huge plans for Katie Taylor.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing is already watching after Katie Taylor's next fight. As its promoter, it is his job.

Taylor successfully defended his IBF and WBA lightweight world titles at the 02 Arena in London on Saturday night. Bray's pride scored a third-round stoppage against Kimberley Connor to improve to 10-0. Taylor is former queen featherweight Cindy Serrano in Chicago on October 6th. After that, she is not short of potential confrontations.

Amanda, Cindy's sister, Barry McGuigan, managed by Chantelle Cameron and former Olympian Mikaela Mayer all declared their desire to fight Taylor. The MMA boxers, Heather Hardy and Holly Holm, have also been involved in the fight against Taylor inside the ring. There is also the not-so-small question of the other two main members of her division – Rose Volante and Delfine Persoon.

Pbading the torch?

The fights mentioned above are all important in themselves, but none of them can be qualified as "superficial". Hearn told one of these, as he told talkSPORT.

Hearn told the radio station that he is eyeing a wrestling contest between Katie Taylor and Cecilia Braekhus. He believes that the only way to test Taylor is to have her fight in artificial weight divisions. Braekhus would certainly be a difficult test for the Irish star.

Braekhus is four years old at age 36. Taylor is the first woman in Colombia. No matter what weight category to simultaneously hold WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF titles. She is only the fifth boxer to have achieved this feat alongside Bernard Hopkins, Jermain Taylor, Terence Crawford and Oleksandr Usyk. She has an impressive 34-0 record, including nine of those knockout victories.

On May 5, Braekhus also became the first female fighter to participate in an HBO show. She completely defeated American Kali Reis by unanimous decision on this occasion

According to reports, Braekhus's next bout will be on the undercard of the much-anticipated rematch between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez on September 15 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
