Have you left the headphone jack?

Before Apple announced the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, many rumors were circulating that the company was considering dropping the 3.5mm headphone jack. In fact, these rumors were so frequent that before the change was officially formalized, people took it for gospel. "That's what Apple will do." This is certainly not rare, but it certainly should have alleviated some of the outrage when it turned out to be true.

Of course, this did not happen and we saw a lot of writing about the fact that Apple 's decision was hostile to the user. I never really agree with this feeling, mainly because Apple has included an adapter (dongle box!) In the box, but also Lightning headphones. So, if you wanted a wired experience, there were two options in the box.

However! I can understand the frustration of losing something like the headphone jack, which has been a standard option for so long.

It was in 2016 and we saw a lot of devices coming out without the headphone jack. Samsung is sticking to that, just like LG. But we have seen Motorola, Google and even OnePlus choose to completely abandon the port for a variety of reasons. And it's a bit funny to me that many companies are pointing their finger at Apple, saying the market has turned to wireless technology and is now "the right time" and the rest.

So we are in 2018 and Apple does not include the dongle in the box with the iPhone XS / XS Max or the iPhone XR, which obviously pushed people to fight again. But, I think these other companies are right at this point. I see a lot wireless headphones out there, especially the Apple AirPods. So maybe you can say goodbye to the headphone jack now.

I can be outside of that, though. I was looking forward to the day when I would not have needed to use a wired headset. Over the years, I have tried different wireless headsets, and then I settled with the AirPods. Besides keeping an eye on the battery of another device, I definitely prefer not to have any wires.
