Art imitates life?

The first ever Dublin Monopoly board has finally been unveiled to the public following a launch in the capital on Thursday morning.

Over 30 Dublin landmarks feature as part of the iconic game, with the usual ladder of pricing structures in place.

Given the current property crisis in the city, the release of the game should result in much biting social commentary, you’d imagine.

Or perhaps the inevitable heated debates will instead focus on the likes of, ‘Wait, why is there a Freshly Chopped in there?’ and that sort of thing.

Dublin Monopoly Board

Marvellous.

Speaking at the big launch on Thursday, Custom Games Manager at Winning Moves Robert Osborne noted that his team were “wonderfully spoilt for choice” when choosing the locations.

Dublin Monopoly is now on sale at all major stores across the capital.
