The clothing line debuted at a Washington event attended by young black conservatives.
Kanye West has designed a clothing line for the "Blexit" campaign, which encourages African-American voters to leave the Democratic Party.
The line of shirts and hats supporting "Blexit" – a play of words resembling the nickname of Britain's exit from the European Union – debuted on Saturday at the Black Young Leadership Summit of Turning Point USA, an event in Washington attended by young American Conservatives, according to Page Six.
"Blexit is a rebirth and I'm lucky to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and colleague superhero Kanye West," Director of Communication for Turning Point USA Candace Owens says page six.
The rapper "took one of the most daring steps in the United States to open the conversation we needed," added Owens.
West did not attend the event.
The garment displays the motto of the group, "We are free" or the word "Blexit", and the description of each article indicates "Design by Kanye West".
According to his website, "Blexit" is a frequency for those who have liberated themselves from political orthodoxy.This is a rebellion led by Americans who wish to disrupt the simulation of fear.Blexit is a rebirth.C & C Is our official statement of independence. "
West recently made the headlines and caused negative reactions because of his meeting with President Trump and his support. He often wore a hat bearing the slogan of Trump's campaign, "Make America Great Again", especially during a recent appearance at Saturday Night Live.
