€1.5 million was raised from last month’s Liam Miller Tribute Match and its badociated event.
Michael O’Flynn, chairman of the organising committee, made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday.
The money raised will be distributed as follows:
– €1m to the Miller family trust
– €250,000 to Marymount Hospice
– €100,000 to the Jack O’Driscoll Fund
– €35,000 each to Mercy Hospital Foundation and Oesophageal Cancer Fund
– €20,000 each Enable Ireland, Cork Simon, Cork Penny Dinners and Down Syndrome Cork
Jack O’Driscoll is a young man from Cork who was left paralysed by an accident during Storm Emma. Marymount Hospice is the facility at which Liam Miller received end of life care.

The Liam Miller Tribute Match between a Manchester United XI and a Celtic/Ireland XI took place at in front of a packed Páirc Úi Chaoimh last month.
